ABOUT US
The Fullerton Host Lions Club was chartered in 1939, as a member of the International Association of Lions Clubs. Since then, we have been involved with Sight conservation programs in Fullerton, as well as on a national and international basis in tandem with the 1000's of other Lions clubs.
+ Lions Clubs International
The association was established in 1917, when our founder Melvin Jones realized that most networking clubs lacked a social benefit, and decided to transform his club into a service organization with social relevance.
In 1925, Helen Keller challenged the Lions clubs to become the "Knights in the fight against Blindness", providing us with our main focus of activity for the last 100 years.
The Association is the only Non-Governmental service Organization to have a seat in the United Nations, furthermore, we are the only one present in all nations of the world.. Our annual peace poster contest celebrates these achievements.
The international motto is very simply "We Serve". These 2 words are very powerful because there is no limit to helping mankind.
Our Club motto is an extension: "We serve Fullerton".
We are available to help our fellow citizen in need, or our community.
We are regular people who live in Fullerton or in adjacent towns. We are workers, retirees, professionals, employees, males, females. We are of various races. We represent a sampling of our community with the common goal of improving our fellow humans' condition, whether in Fullerton, California, America or the World.

HELP YOUR COMMUNITY & GIVE A DONATION
We are a 501 C (4) non-profit organization, therefore charitable contributions are not tax deductible. But, that should not keep you from providing us with some funds. 100% of monies in our charity account go towards our charities. That is because the administrative costs are covered by a separate account.
